Multi-Patient Scenario Polish

Multi-patient simulation flows are clearer and more reliable when instructors switch scenarios, manage patient tabs, and review scenario names.

  • Fixed per-patient scenario names in multi-patient run screens
  • Fixed Custom tab labels so they show the selected patient's scenario name
  • Scoped pause and resume behavior to the selected patient
  • Flushed in-flight edits when leaving patient tabs

Classroom Connection Improvements

Router Mode and Hub Mode received reliability improvements for reconnecting students and managing classroom devices.

  • Improved Router Mode reconnect behavior so returning students stay matched to the right instructor row
  • Fixed Router Mode student name and IP display on the instructor side
  • Fixed Enter Code button visibility after Hub disconnect
  • Showed server media folders in Send Custom Image while in Hub Mode

Nurse Station & Communication Fixes

Nurse Station communication, telemetry, and patient display behavior received targeted improvements for live classroom use.

  • Fixed media not being received on Nurse Station
  • Refined Nurse Station patient details and telemetry layout
  • Fixed walkie-talkie audio looping back to the sender
  • Improved telemetry row layout on large tablets and when fewer patients are shown

Monitor, Vitals, and Pump Refinements

Clinical displays and pump behavior received a round of polish focused on readability, selected-patient behavior, and waveform reliability.

  • Fixed ABP MAP overlap when systolic and diastolic values have three digits
  • Adjusted Zoll CO2 wave vertical scale
  • Improved ventilator layout fill heights and selected alarm field display
  • Sent pump errors only to the selected student or selected patient
  • Auto-shrank Sigma soft-key labels so long labels fit

Hub Mode, Router Mode, and Device Assignment

Student assignment and reconnection behavior is more predictable across Hub Mode, Router Mode, and Server Mode workflows.

  • Persisted student unique IDs so reconnects reuse instructor device rows
  • Synced student dropdown behavior when assigned device type changes
  • Made Hub connection codes case-insensitive
  • Routed device type assignment to a single selected student

Nurse Station Alerts

Nurse Station alerts and patient cards became clearer, louder when needed, and less prone to duplicate log entries.

  • Added or refined Nurse Call and Simulation Essentials Nurse Call monitor support
  • Added glucose and respiratory-rate icon updates on Nurse Station cards
  • Looped Nurse Station alarms until accepted or declined
  • Stopped duplicate accept and decline logs on relayed alerts

Clinical Display and Pump Improvements

Hospital monitor, ventilator, and pump screens received reliability fixes and clearer field behavior.

  • Fixed HR numeric input sync on cardiac rhythm change
  • Hid calculator-owned and mode-irrelevant fields in the ventilator editor
  • Wired ventilator monitor alarms to audio and bell icon
  • Fixed Plum Pump label and student dropdown sync
  • Fixed dosage and weight-rate calculations when amount or diluent volume is blank

Reliability Improvements

A broad reliability pass made simulation sessions smoother across audio, classroom connectivity, image loading, pump overlays, wave displays, and iOS workflows.

  • Improved startup behavior when connection settings are incomplete
  • Improved audio recording reliability during live sessions
  • Improved iOS responsiveness during heavier scenario workflows
  • Improved first-load reliability for desktop images

April 2026

Multi-Patient Simulation

SimVS now has much deeper support for multi-patient scenarios across Android, desktop, and iOS.

  • Instructor library controls for Single/Multi scenario workflows
  • Per-patient tab configuration so each patient keeps its own monitor and workflow setup

Nurse Station & Alarm Workflow

The nurse station experience received a major upgrade with a new typed alarm model and richer clinical data.

  • Seven distinct alarm categories: bed, call bell, code blue, IV, telemetry low, telemetry medium, and telemetry high
  • Alarm icons and clearer alarm banners
  • Glucose and respiratory rate added to the nurse station display
  • Improved patient detail handling and alarm visibility across views

Device Assignment & Screen-Size Validation

A more structured device assignment workflow so instructors can send students to the right simulated interface.

  • Instructor-side device type assignment with student-side handling
  • Minimum screen-size requirements by device type
  • Screen-size detection and warning dialogs when a device is too small for the selected interface

On-The-Fly Instructor Mode

A new On-The-Fly mode for faster, more flexible scenario setup from the instructor view.

  • On-The-Fly scenario selection for instructors
  • Updated scenario selection and multitab editing flows for flexible startup
